Size matters

When we flip the unit around, we see a small mini-pc of its kind; it measures only 12.6x 11.3x 4.2cm in size. The Intel NUC 13 Pro has a lot of options for ports and caters to individual requirements effectively. It includes a USB A, USB C, Thunderbolt, HDMI, and DisplayPort.

It is equipped with several USB ports, two Thunderbolt ports, and the capability to connect to monitors through HDMI or Thunderbolt, along with a 2.5G network port.

Intel has ensured all NUC 13 Pro systems can operate round-the-clock during the 3-year warranty period. These NUCs have advanced features including Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 support, and the capacity to manage four multiple 4Kp60 displays.

With display emulation and compatibility with the headless operation and digital signage deployments, it emerges as a flexible option. The NUC 13 Pro Kit uses the same Wi-Fi 6E AX211 module, offering high and consistent data transfer rates on a 6GHz network. Transfer speeds on a 5GHz connection are just a notch slower, yet they are more than adequate for daily use; more on that in the network chapter of this review.

The NUC 13 Pro Kit also includes a VESA mount, allowing easy attachment to the back of a monitor. With a focus on connectivity and various features, the Intel NUC 13 Pro Kit stands out as a formidable UCFF (ultra-compact form factor) system.

Both SSD and DRAM originate from Kingston. You'll see another SATA slot here as well.
