The Intel NUC 13 Pro, commonly referred to as "Arena Canyon," is a versatile mini-PC offering a variety of connectivity solutions. This compact PC comes in several models. We have a taller variant based on a sturdy, miniaturized tower design. As 12cmx12cm is deemed an ultra-compact design, this revision cannot mount a GPU as the extreme versions did.

To manage the heat generated by the densely packed components within the NUC 13, Intel has utilized a mesh around most of the PC's surface, promoting optimized airflow given sufficient surrounding space.

The reviewed NUC mini-PC is powered by the Intel Core i7-1360P, a powerful CPU with 12 cores and 16 threads. The review model comes with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, which can be upgraded to 64 GB, and a 500 GB SSD, running on Windows 11 Professional, the most recent OS version during this review.

The Core i7-1360P shares similarities with the 1260P of the NUC 12 Pro, with four Performance and eight Efficiency cores. The primary upgrade in the Raptor Lake series is its boost speed, offering 5GHz compared to the previous 4.7GHz.

Other options include more cost-effective i3 and i5 models, vPro variants, and the 'tall' kits, capable of supporting a 2.5" SSD. As you can see, you get a VESA mount also, which is handy to tuck away the device behind a monitor.
