So we received the monitor a while ago. It is the 144 Hz capable. Let me first state that the model we received is a final retail sample.
The new panel covers a normal 24" and thus supports adaptive refresh rate technology.
- Resolution: 1920x1080
- 144 Hz Panel: TN
- Response time 1ms
- 1x DP 1.2, 2x HDMI
- Speakers built-in 2x2W
- Power Consumption 48W
- TFT LCD
The monitor arrives in a large, full-color box. And yes, our sample had been used before.
A disadvantage of TN technology, which inevitably immediately stands out in the case of the XG240R, is the noticeable viewing angle dependency, in particular in the vertical, as well as the generally poorer color representation compared to IPS or VA monitors. The colors are less intense at first power up than the tested IPS and VA displays as well. So a TN screen might not be our favorite type of panels I like image quality over speed. But a lot of you guys will agree and disagree on that. it's good to have choices.
The monitor has an acclaimed 1ms response time (GTG). Built with ABS plastic, this monitor adorns the characteristic a somewhat square gaming identity, but hey we see a proper foot.
