PHILIPS decided to use a minimalist panel design and put a white color (also) on the back (+ some RGB there). It is a monitor dedicated to gamers, but there is no question of over-the-top eye candy or flashiness. The maximum resolution is 3,440 x 1,440, the standard for 21:9 monitors. What is new, however, is that OLED technology has finally found its way into affordable gaming monitors. Thus, gamers also get great colors and contrasts, deep blacks in dark scenes, and fast response times. The Evnia’s physical design is almost as striking as its screen quality. All white with a three-dimensional motif of tiled rectangles spread across the back of the cabinet, the monitor has a polygonal look that makes it an eye-catching presence atop your desk. The plastics are strong, precisely finished, and impeccably fitted, so the case does not bend or creak. I also have no complaints about the moving parts and the stability of the design, which is impressive given the ultra-wide aspect ratio and relatively large diagonal screen.

It is a good and sleek-looking screen with a white exterior. The chosen color breaks the monotony and, thanks to the ambient LEDs on it, conforms to a truly spot-on design.

The spacing on the left and right is 8 mm each, with a 5 mm wide strip above the screen. The stand-off under the screen, which measures more than 2 cm, has not been abandoned. It is printed with the logos of the Evnia series and the manufacturer - the former is on the left side and the latter on the right side, right next to the vertical power LED.

The stand is attached in the center. The stand has two wide metal feet (which makes it very stable). Installation is very simple. It is quickly attached without any extra screws: It consists of two parts, the elongated part is clicked into the monitor, and the leg is then screwed on with an integrated thumbscrew, and that’s it. The stand is very solid and made from cast aluminum.

The mechanical adjustment does not disappoint. The screen can be rotated by 20° left and right, tilted by 5°, and tilted by 20°, sufficient for everyday use. The height, however, can be adjusted within a 150 mm range, making both shorter and taller users happy. However, the pivot is omitted, meaning the monitor cannot be positioned vertically, which is still a rarity in ultra-wide monitors.   You can also use a VESA 100 x 100 mm wall/arm mounting. However, it is necessary to use the adapter from the kit, i.e., a sturdy metal mount with threads with a VESA spacing. For safety reasons, it is advisable to screw the adapter to the bracket beforehand and then plug the monitor into it.

The 1800R curved panel is surrounded by flat bezels, at least from the sides and top.

The monitor is quite thick, mainly because the power supply has been integrated. Although the angular “pixel look” stands out visually and subjectively doesn’t look bad at all, it doesn’t make the monitor look particularly modern. The back of the monitor has been saturated with RGB LEDs - they run all around and illuminate the vertical diffuser in the case’s center. We also find a navigation joystick on the back, an extensive connector interface, and a Kensington Lock hole. The eye-catcher is the futuristic base, characteristically speckled because recycled plastics were used.
