ASUS introduced the Z790-AYW WIFI W, a new addition to its PRIME series product line, characterized by a pure white PCB design. The ASUS Z790-AYW WIFI W motherboard is designed in the ATX form factor and features a silver-white heat dissipation shield that covers most of the board, with the exception of some plastic slots. This model supports high-performance configurations with its 12+1 phase 60A Dr.Mos power delivery for the CPU. It includes an 8+4 pin CPU power connector and is compatible with Intel's 12th, 13th, and 14th generation processors. This motherboard stands out for its support of DDR5-8000+ memory when overclocked, and it utilizes Intel's XMP technology to facilitate memory overclocking. For expansion, the ASUS Z790-AYW WIFI W offers a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for graphics cards, and three M.2 slots for SSDs, two of which support the longer M.2 22110 form factor and come with thermal pads.

Connectivity options on this motherboard are robust, featuring a front panel with a 10Gbps USB Type-C port and four USB-A ports capable of 5Gbps. It also includes pins for Thunderbolt 4 expansion. Notably, the rear I/O panel is equipped with a BIOS flashback button, a dedicated USB port for BIOS flashing, and an additional 10Gbps USB Type-C port.Network connectivity is provided by a 2.5G Realtek LAN card and a Wi-Fi 6 wireless adapter, although the specific model of the Wi-Fi card has not been disclosed.


This setup supports data transfer speeds of up to 1.2Gbps and includes Bluetooth 5.3 compatibility. The included shark fin antenna is designed to enhance wireless reception.
