I guess this is the "previous gen" of this monitor? I just saw the new QD-OLEDs are coming out, hoped it might've been one of those. Also does it not have a VESA mount?

this has been out awhile now and actually in shops. it's a very solid wqhd option next to the Alienware, but it used the be the "bargain" @ $850-899 until Alienware dropped the price

It is a solid monitor and it does support VESA 100x100. The review shows the bracket but doesn't seem to mention this rather important piece of information.

Ah true, I see that picture now. I just skimmed the pics and saw the backside of the monitor and it had the fancy design and like a tab to hook on to the stand. Seems this solution makes the monitor very deep when mounting to an arm. It's not that heavy for a monitor this size, my present one (LG 34UC88-b) is like double this one's weight and it doesn't have internal powersupply even 😀

It's more affordable than the other QD-OLED offerings of the same size, so I'd guess this is the go to options for more budget friendly builds. I mean, 240 and 360 Hz monitors are impressive, but you'd need the appropriate hardware to run games at those fps to make them count. And that hardware are far from being called "budget friendly". I'd love to see some image quality comparisons between current OLEDs and the upcoming ones.
