Nice perspective photo here. We can see the single slot cooling solution a tad better. Let's flip it one more time.
There we go, you can see that inside many cooling ribbons pick up the heat after which it's blown away from the card with the ventilator. There are both up- and downsides to single versus dual slot cooling. The positive, it saves space, yet the downside, the heat is being dumped inside the PC. Most dual slot cooling solutions exhausts that heat outside the PC.
Since the card consumes 100 Watts when it's peaking the PCI-Express bus can't deliver the necessary power. PCI-Express is limited to 75 Watt. We need to hook the card up to our PSU directly with a 6-pin cable.
