Quake 4

Well now, this title doesn't require an introduction for sure. We again see the 7600 GT do really crazy things when you combine two of them in one rig. The 7900 GT also offers a massive performance gain. And again the 7900 GTX is obviously very CPU bound. None the less in 1920x1200 you'll still gain an extra 22 FPS on average.

The results you see here are based on 4x Antialiasing and 8x Anisotropic filtering with all settings in game set to maximum quality.

Splinter Cell 3

Quite honestly I can't get enough of this game, I really like it a lot. And when you set image quality settings to maximum and enable HDR this title will seriously taunt any graphics card. Since that's the case it's way less CPU bound and yeah .. along the entire line-up in SLI you'll see performance almost doubly up on all graphics cards tested.

Look at that 7900 GTX, 1920x1200 x 16 AF with HDR enabled. 93 FPS and that's an average. The 7600 GT in SLI would make 1920x1200 playable at the HQ settings with an average framerate of 46.

So I just can't stress enough that I very much like SLI. It works out of the box, is easy to setup and yeah you can get massive performance increases for sure. Understand though that SLI is a very expensive undertaking though.
