The GeForce 7900 GT
This is the new 299 USD GeForce 7900 GT. It's seriously as fast as the GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB yet heaps cheaper. Now at that price it should be a low range high-end graphics card. So that's fantastic value for your money there.
A nice perspective photo right there. Again we can observe a single slot design cooling design. From what I can tell it's actually 100% similar to the 7600 GT cooler and produces just as much noise. And that's not a lot of noise I can happily report.
Since this card will consume roughly 90-100 watts per graphics core we now need to feed off the PSU, that's why you see the 6-pin power connector on the backside of the card. Your PCI-Express slot can only deliver a maximum of 75 Watts.
You have no idea just yet how much power and features this card will deliver for 299 USD. Here you can see the GeForce 7900 GT 256MB live in action.
And yes the GeForce 7900 GT cards will also be tested in both single and SLI mode today. And again we'll make note of huge performance increases. SLI is expensive yet very fun.
