The Photos
On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were takenĀ at 2560x1920 pixels and then scaled down. The camera used was a Sony DCS-F707 5.1 MegaPixel.
First up, the GeForce 7600 GT 256MB
Okay then, let's get started with the photo shoot. Above the front and backside of the GeForce 7600 GT. This is a 256 MB graphics card. Quite a lovely small design armed with a tiny single slot cooler.
It's a Series 7 product and that means dual-link DVI for extremely high supported resolutions up-to 2560x1200. We hooked it up to a 1920x1200 wide LCD screen and had a crispy sharp experience.
The design is clean and simple. A single slot fan will cool down the card. It's audible, yet not at all too noisy. Since the card will consume roughly 68 Watts when it's peaking it can draw its power from the PCI-Express slot, which maxes out at 75 Watts. So there really is no need for an external PSU connection.
The card is the new 199 USD mid-range product that delivers a nice amount of punch for it's money. Here's a photo of the product sweating during a benchmark session.
Today we'll also test this card in SLI mode as demonstrated in the above picture. It was quite amazing to see how much performance we gained as in most cases performance went up in theĀ area of 80-90%
