Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words & Conclusion

The Geekom Mini IT11 is a Mini PC with a sleek design. It’s very compact, as the dimensions are 11.7 cm x 11.2 cm x 4.56 cm. The (pre-installed) Windows 11 ran very smoothly. The performance was compelling for a device weighing 565 grams. The results are good (thanks to using 4 cores/8 threads i7) - even for more complex tasks than daily surfing, Office, etc. shouldn't be problematic. You get a 1 Gb ethernet port (for some, the 2.5 Gb would be nice). The WIFI6 is fine; you shouldn’t complain about it. The 32 GB of RAM won’t limit most tasks you’d like to perform on the Mini IT11. The usage of a 2 TB NVMe SSD (although it’s dramless) is also a great feature. You can always install an (up-to) 2 TB SATA drive if you need more storage. If you want a versatile mini PC to serve as your daily driver, you can’t go wrong with the Mini IT11.

Performance

The i7 11390H is more than enough for usage as an Internet PC is fast enough, even with Windows 11. It handles everyday tasks such as using office applications, browsing the web, and streaming 4K video content, making it a versatile performer. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 ensure fast, reliable wireless connectivity for seamless performance. In retrospect, with speed and performance wise, you can compare it to a mid-tier laptop. The i7 (4 cores/8 threads) processor offers enough punch. The NVMe SSD further enhances the device’s capabilities, operating at a speed of 3.5 GB/sec. The embedded GPU has a decent video processor that can accelerate high-definition content; 1080P and Ultra HD are not an issue. As for acoustics - the product stays silent, even under heavy load. Although it’s actively cooled, its fan is quiet and unobtrusive, with no bearing whine or rattle in what noise it could make.

Concluding

The Geekom Mini IT11 offers good quality, robust CPU performance, swift 2 TB NVMe storage, WIFI 6, and a substantial 32 GB RAM. For some – the 1 Gb LAN may be insufficient, but that’s a bit of nit-picking. For those looking to expand into more demanding projects that involve video or photo editing, or streaming console or gaming PC gameplay, the IT11 is powerful enough to handle the load. The iGPU is too weak for typical gaming usage, at least for AAA games. In competitive games like League of Legends, Valorant, or Fortnite  - it should perform ok with 720/1080p resolution. You get a nice range of I/O (including the USB 4, compatible with Thunderbolt 3 devices). It’s straightforward to open and expand (SSD/RAM). There’s a built-in mount for VESA. The operation is quiet and cool (typically up to 85 degrees Celsius, under heavy load). We grant the Geekom Mini IT11 an „Approved” award for the whole package, especially since you can get a similar unit as reviewed for 599 USD. For a 4 cores/8 threads i7 that performs well, with 32 GB RAM and 2 TB NVMe drive – that’s a good offer.
