The Verdict.
The Evercool WC-202 kit has what it takes to become popular, in cryptic wording I'd like to describe it as a little animal. It's not a beast though! This set will cool down your CPU and VGA sufficiently, but it's not much more powerful compared to conventional air-cooling with the help of an active fan. That by itself is a downside. I'm not sure what is causing it, it might be the pump yet yes I believe the cause is ambient heat inside your case versus small radiators. The radiators are cooled down by using the air in your PC which blows through the radiator, and that air is always heated somehow.

On the VGA side I must add to this review that basically any GeForce or Radeon based graphics card can be equipped with the GPU cooler. One side note here, new model graphics cards like the AGP version of GeForce 6600 have an extra bridge chip that definitely needs cooling (the HSI), for such a graphics card this solution is not enough as you can't cool down that HSI. This is a common problem for all VGA watercooling solutions btw.

While being advertised as a super-silent model, noise-wise you'll again be on the same level as traditional cooling in normal and average operating modes (fan speed). At normal, thus low settings, you'll get sufficient cooling versus a normal level of sound. When you select a high fan speed at the controller, you will be annoyed by the high pitch sound.

On the positive side, this thing looks like the shiznit. I mean, that is a cool looking solution. Next to that it's very easy to install and reasonably efficient. This by itself makes it a very popular kit, it's just not for the high-end hardcore overclocker, which makes my conclusion a bit mixed in feeling. Another positive is the fact that this is the first kit we review that'll actually fit easily in a PC case without hefty modifying jobs.

What makes this kit attractive ? The 'x'-factor, decent cooling, quick and easy installation and most definitely it's price as you have to cough up only 95 USD and that simply is just a downright steal.
