Day 2 Continued

Swinging around the corner was Princeton Technology Inc., (http://www.princetonusa.com). They had on hand their latest gaming DDR RAM, the Turbo FX5700.  Its a PC3700 with a 466 MHz bus, and sizes start off at 256MB to 1GB (Kit).  All their chips come with a heat shield, and have CL2 latency.  They use components from companies such as Samsung, Micron, Infineon, Mitsubishi, NEC, and Toshiba to name a few.  Prices are comparable to other manufacturers.  Other speeds of DDR are available as well, as well a host of other types of memory.

Walking down the hall, and less than an hour to go before I meet up with the folks over at Global Hauri, I found my next surprise, Coolermaster (http://www.coolermaster.com), better known for their heat sinks.  Most noticeable in their booth was their new Wave Master aluminum case, equipped with a cooldrive 3 and 4, as well as a musketeer.  The cooldrive 3 is a hard disk drive cooler with an aluminum case.  Not only will it cool your hard drive, but it will make the front of your case a little prettier.  The cooldrive 4 is just more than a hard drive cooler, it also has temperature monitoring, as well as fan speed controls.  The LCD screen has a blue back light for an eye pleasing glow, and the fan knob has 7 color variations.  It can monitor 4 fans, as well as the temps of what the fans are monitoring.  A single knob can control all 4 fans individually, via a button.  Yet another useful and eye pleasing product.  The Musketeer is a hardware monitor mimicking that of auto-meter gauges.   There has been a similar product out, but it needed the aid of software for it to work.  Coolermasters version though does not need software.  It monitors fan voltage, sound pressure (I am kind of unsure as to how that one works), and temperature. (Depending on where you put the sensor.) It also has sliders for a fan, as well as the sensitivity to the sound pressure.  They also had their Aerogate 1, its a fan controller, capable of controlling 4 fans.  As for the Wave Master, it features a removable mother board tray, thumb screwed PCI slots, hidden top panel (USB, Fire wire, and headphone jack), Soft Blue LED back lights, 2 front fans, and 1 rear fan, and a very elegant style. (Eat that Apple).  And as always, they had their various heat sinks on display, as well as some of their other popular products.
