Day 2

Day 2: June 19

I started off earlier today as I had a scheduled meeting with Global Hauris CEO/President Eric SukWon Kwon to discuss the latest release on their antivirus program, Virobot.  I got in a few hours before the meet (which was at 2 pm), so I decided to peruse my first days area to see if I have missed anything, and, I did.

First in line was Ultra-X Inc. (http://www.uxd.com) they were showing off their diagnostic hardware.  Basically you stick one their diagnostic tools in a PCI slot, and diagnose what is wrong with a pc (on the hardware level) within minutes.  It tests Memory, in each sector, (so you can see which MB is going haywire), as well, as find out which stick is bad.  It is not OS reliant, so you can pretty much run it on a bare system.  Its quite pricey (a kit can cost over $1000.00), but in my opinion, is well worth it.  They have other specialized tools, which target specific problem areas (such as overloading a bus with traffic).  They have a variety of diagnostic tools and utilities available, and is pretty much perfect for the traveling tech.

Next up was AEI electronics.  They specialize in producing the LCD screens in a host of applications.  They range from screens you might see in an elevator, or to the flat panel you might be using.  If you are an aspiring modder, then they might be a company to suit your needs.  They sell the bare LCD, with everything to make it work.  Sizes range from 1.8 to as much as 22.  They also carry a host of various audio and video products (CCD cameras, LCD wall mounts, video amplifiers, compact DVD players etc.)
