Upon unboxing, you're greeted by the well-protected NAS, nestled securely between two large Styrofoam blocks and wrapped in a plastic bag, minimizing the risk of damage. Accessories like the power brick are neatly packed in a separate box. The 3304T Gen2 sports Asustor's signature budget-friendly design, combining a plastic front with a durable metal casing and internal frame, ensuring sturdiness. It features four easy-to-remove trays for HDDs/SSDs but skips the LCD screen to maintain its value proposition.
The package includes everything needed to get started: an adapter and power cable, Ethernet cables for the Multi-Gigabit port (compatible with 2.5 and 1 Gbps connections, and even down to 10 Mbit/s), a manual, and screws for securing SSDs. Note, that you'll need to purchase the storage drives separately.
A standout feature is the external power brick. Having used Asustor NAS units for years without a single power brick failure, I appreciate the ease of replacing it if needed. This thoughtful detail adds to the overall preference for these reliable devices.
