The Build

ASUS has designed their latest casing with a keen eye for detail, bestowing equal attention to the design of the back. The inclusion of a plastic cover is their solution for those who grapple with cable management, seamlessly hiding half of the casing along with any untidy cables.

The cover is as straightforward to remove as the tempered glass panels, held securely in place by hinges and a couple of screws. Implementing this cover helps to segregate the rear portion of the casing, imparting a sophisticated aesthetic free from clutter.

Instead of opting for an elaborate and specialized liquid cooling system, we'll be creating a regular ATX system. As you can see, there is ample space to mount everything, with plenty of clearance, grommet holes, and a gutter to tuck away excess cables. If you don't use hard disk drives, any size will suffice, leaving you with even more space to conceal wires.

Mounting the power supply is a annoying. The only downside of the chassis is that there isn't a heaps of extra space on the motherboard's rear side for wire routing, but it's sufficient. Suppose you decide to use the motherboard's 360mm radiator space. In that case, you'll need to be precise with cable routing, but luckily there's around 3cm of spacing between the panel and the motherboard tray.

Within the casing, you'll find a quartet of detachable dust filters. One resides at the top radiator mount, a second one beneath the PSU shroud, while the remaining two are positioned at the front. The dual front dust filters, tucked away discreetly on either side, employ a drawer-style design. They boast an angel wing-like shape, lending a unique stylistic edge to the casing, a departure from the conventional rectangular magnetic strips.

The casing's front section is equipped with an assortment of connectors, including a pair of USB Type-C connectors capable of data transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps and a fast charging capacity of up to 60 watts with a suitable motherboard. To cater to those who require more USB ports, ASUS provides an additional four USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, reset switch, power on button, and a LED mode switch. The ROG Hyperion is a valuable new addition to these features, further enhancing the functionality of the casing.
