Eyefinity3 Mixed Monitor Video examples

In the following video's we'll be showing you a high-def recording of a couple of applications and games. This method, we feel, will get you a better idea of what you can expect, what's hot and what's not. In the examples below and on the next page we opted to show you a handful of games running on the setup.

Thief

Here we have the Thief internal benchmark -- we show the benchmark as it's a nice recognizable way that you can replicate on your own system if you have the game. We are running the scene in a native 6720x1080 resolution. The scene runs roughly at 50-'ish frames per second, so we have nothing to worry about, the game will be absolutely playable.

Image Quality Settings:

  • Mantle Crossfire on
  • Very High Image Quality
  • 8x Anisotropic Filtering
  • Screenspace reflection on
  • Parallax Occlusion mapping on
  • FXAA on
  • Contact Hardening Shadows on
  • Tessellation on

BTW stuttering looks bad, but is a side-effect of the youtube conversion of the video mostly. Secondly the NEC monitors automatically DIM brightness thanks to an ECO mode. A bit annoying but you can see the generic idea here.

BioShock Infinite

We test BioShock Infinite at:

  • DirectX 11
  • Ultra Quality mode with DDOD enabled
  • FXAA enabled

This again is the benchmark loop, which you can try and replicate yourself. The benchmark was in the 50 to 60 FPS range during its run.
