I sold my 2080s for the same money I bought it for, got a bargain when I got it new. Its what I try to do each gen, the more time between each gen the easier it is. My back up 970's need improving this gen though. As for the livestream, the more you pay the more you save!

Ive got a 1080Ti on water and am not a fan of buying 2nd hand cards, and a 2080Ti just isnt a big enough leap for me, i tend to jump a release with GPUs.

This is more or less my guess also based on the leaks, except maybe 3080 being 25% faster than a 2080Ti. That performance would align more with those coming from a 1080Ti in terms of general upgrade as 2080Ti was only ~30% faster than a 1080Ti. If 3080 is 25% faster than a 2080Ti then upgrade from 1080Ti with 60% performance increase for 800 is decent value.

Hoping prices won't be too bad. The 2000 series weren't that hot of sellers until they dropped the prices with the release of Super. Maybe they learned from that? Then again, the 2000 series wasn't a massive uplift in performance. Maybe we'll see better pricing and a nice uplift with 7nm. That might be optimistic, and it is the year of 2020, but we have to have a light shine soon.

Be lucky if you can get a 3060 for $330 I got 1 of my gtx970 strix for £270, probably be £500 this gen
