The forthcoming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 'Super' series, which has been gathering traction in NVIDIA's lineup, is projected to launch in early 2024. The anticipated lineup may encompass the GeForce RTX 4080 Super, RTX 4070 Ti Super, and RTX 4070 Super models.

Kopite7kimi, a whistleblower, corroborates the existence of the RTX 40 Super series and posits that it will be based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. With respect to the internal chipset allocations, the RTX 4080 Super might utilize the AD102 or AD103 chips. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Super could deploy the AD103 or AD104 chips. Presently, the non-super models—RTX 4080, RTX 4070 Ti, and RTX 4070—are using the AD103-300, AD104-400, and AD104-250 chips respectively.

Another rumor suggests that the RTX 4070 Super graphics card will probably incorporate the AD103 chips and may be paired with an unusual16GB memory. Concurrently, the same source alludes to the possible unveiling of the 'Super' series at CES 2024. To adhere to this timeline and given NVIDIA's product development cadence, pertinent graphics card details should ideally be disclosed to AIC partners by mid-to-early November.

Regarding the RTX 4080 Super, speculation arises due to the AD102 chip's use in the RTX 4090, which was barred in the U.S. because its related chip had a transistor count exceeding regulations. Thus, if the RTX 4080 Super were to adopt a similar chip, it might face similar restrictions.

The current data remains speculative, and definitive details will only emerge once NVIDIA provides official documentation to its AIC/AIB  partners.
