Lexar introduced its THOR OC DDR5 Desktop Memory. This new memory is inspired by the design of Thor's hammer and integrates a solid aluminium heatsink for enhanced heat dispersion, catering to overclocking demands.

The THOR OC DDR5 reaches speeds of up to 6000MT/s at timings as tight as CL32. Designed with a low-profile structure, it is optimal for space-saving PC assemblies. It is built to support Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO overclocking standards and aligns with most DDR5 motherboards. This DDR5 memory is equipped with on-die Error Correction Code (ECC) for increased stability and a Power Management IC (PMIC) for augmented power efficiency.

There is also an alternative for consumers in the form of the THOR OC DDR4 Desktop Memory. This variant provides a performance of 3200MT/s at a timing of CL16, targeting PC aficionados and avid gamers. The DDR4 memory possesses an aluminium heat spreader, characterized by a winged architecture to manage thermal conditions. It also adheres to INTEL XMP 2.0 and AMD Ryzen standards. Joey Lopez, Director of Marketing at Lexar, emphasized the DDR5 memory's capability to balance next-generation performance with thermal management, highlighting its efficacy in overclocking and temperature regulation.

The THOR OC DDR5 Memory is retailed in a 32 GB Kit (2 x 16 GB) with two speed variants: 5600MT/s priced at $92.99 and 6000MT/s at $104.99. On the other hand, the THOR OC DDR4 Memory can be obtained in configurations of 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) and 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) at 3200MT/s, compatible with predominant motherboard brands. The pricing for the DDR4 modules is set at $38.99 for the 16 GB and $64.99 for the 32 GB version. Each purchase of the Lexar THOR OC DDR5 Desktop Memory is backed by a lifetime limited warranty.
