When we flip the board around once more we spot low level connectivity like extra USB 2.0, audio headers and so on. Here we also spot a 3D button, press it and you will activate a software sound solution with enhanced bass and 3D sound effects.

Its not that we don't like innovation and cool gadgets but we are absolutely clueless as to why such a dynamic feature (you turn it on/off based on listening mode like music/movie/gaming) is mounted on the motherboard. Motherboards are fitted inside a closed chassis so you'd need to remove a chassis side panel to access that button.

The audio is handled by Realtek's 888 codec. The ALC888 series are high-performance 7.1+2 Channel High Definition Audio Codecs providing ten DAC channels that simultaneously support 7.1 sound playback, plus 2 channels of independent stereo sound output (multiple streaming) through the front panel stereo outputs.

We would like to see some more development done on the audio side of motherboards. Also we did expect Jetway to make a jump to the BIOS replacement EFI as well, but they are sticking to the good old fashioned BIOS though. So that's roughly it, you will spot a total of three fan headers of which two can be regulated in the BIOS.

As stated, this piece of hardware will be amongst the cheapest of P67 motherboards you will find, 150 USD. For that money you do get a lot of features and a fairly well designed motherboard as the product is very complete as it supports CrossfireX and SLI, it has USB3, SATA3 (6G) and RAID support. It has good features and a host of other new features alongside a very decent component selection.

Today we'll pop a Core i7 2600K processor into the motherboard and pair it with two 4 GB DIMMs from Corsair (Vengeance).
