Drivers and Test System
Let's quickly walk through the detonator drivers and see what they look like.

 imageview.php?image=359
This is a much discussed tab. NVIDIA calls this the Performance and Quality settings tab. Here you can select Anti Aliasing (AA) up-to 4xS skewed grid modes and Anisotrpic Filtering modes (AF) to 8x. The Texture sharpening setting will crank up the AF level to the next higher one. At default Balanced is set which is a quality setting closest to ATI's settings. Aggressive is faster and matches ATI performance settings mode.

The new DirectX refresh rate settings

OpenGL settings, also nothing new here.

This setting is actually hidden, you can enable it by downloading the Hidden Features patch from our Detonator driver file section. As you can see you can check and change AGP settings in here.

The tests - Now, let's see what this videocard has in store for us in terms of 3D performance compared to other videocards.

 Test system

We did several tests which are made with, 3D Mark 2001 SE, Quake III Arena, CodeMasters Creatures, Unreal 2003, Serious Sam 2, and the Directx 8.1 oriented benchmark called AquaMark also we'll quickly swing by the much discussed 3D Mark 03.  A small note on Aquamark. While the game has been released this benchmark was not. Usage is for press only and therefore I can not give you a download link.

All tests where made in 32 bit colors in resolutions ranging from 1024x768 up-to the Godfather of all gaming resolutions, the 1600x1200 screen mode with all kinds of performance/quality settings.
