The Beelink SER 5 mini-PC boasts not only an attractive appearance but also a meticulously crafted design. The manufacturer's deliberate focus on creating a strong brand identity is evident in the device's fusion of plastic and metal elements, open slots, and mesh for airflow. With its metal sides and airy soft mesh on top for airflow, the case feels sturdy. The latter is a first for Beelink, as prior tiny PCs from the business had plastic or metal tops instead. The detachable mesh gives a quality or elegant accent to the entire design.
The Beelink SER5 comes with a 65W (19V-1.5A) power adaptor and has a proprietary cooling fan, which has been professionally tested to be silent at only. In its two SODIMM slots, we spot 16GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3200 MHz Dual Channel. For storage, we discovered a M.2 NVMe 2280 SSD 500 GB with a transfer rate of up to 3500 MB/s. We also have another M.2 SATA 2.5" connector space storage unit. In contrast to many other mini-PCs, the Beelink SER 5 allows for seamless access to its inner components. By removing the screws at the base, users can easily reach the main motherboard, which houses the RAM, SSD, and HDD slot.
Remarkably, this compact device can accommodate a full-sized HDD within its frame. The HDD enclosure becomes visible upon flipping the bottom cover and connects through a SATA interface—though bear in mind that SATA throughput performance restrictions apply.
The exterior of the Beelink SER5 is both sturdy and elegant, featuring a mesh top and several air vents at the rear of the main body. The backside is equipped with two full-sized HDMI ports, two Type-A ports, an Ethernet port, and a power connector. Meanwhile, the front hosts two USB Type-A ports, a Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack, and a power button. A sticker on the base displays shortcuts for BIOS and boot options.
