Dunno, but people tested it and it didn't really work. Doesn't hurt to try. Anyways I got it set up with coretemp.exe running in the background.
You can test it with a mouserate checking tool. Gives you like a weird value slightly above 125 Hz (even if you have your mouse set to 500 or more) but as soon as I enable coretemp... boom, my 1000 Hz is back.

Ok, and maybe in 8.2 or in 9.0 they will close all the backdoors opened and then MAYBE they could make the german government and the chinese government to consider install that swiss cheese again 😉 (just google "chinese government windows 8" or do the same replacing "chinese" by "german" to know more about that)
