It has been confirmed by several sources now that Microsoft is making a 360 with an upcoming Windows 8.1 update. Windows at default will boot into desktop mode. The reason for the reversal is to improve the OS for keyboard and mouse users. This preference will likely not apply to touch-screen devices.

Seagate stated in a conference call that it would release a hard disk drive with 6TB capacity in the beginning of the second quarter, 2014. The company did not reveal a lot of details about the upcoming product, but noted that this would be an enterprise-class hard drive.

Our forums have been going mad and topic of hot discussion with anxious AMD users that are awaiting an AMD Mantle driver. DICE yesterday already rolled out the Battlefield 4 Mantle patch, a mantle benchmark for Star Swarm was released, yet the driver needed got delayed yesterday as AMD stumbled into issues they wanted to fix first. And that makes total sense really. We just learned from AMD that a new driver has been built overnight and that it is being tested by AMD at this very minute. MSI has updated the Z87 MPOWER MAX towards Z87 MPOWER MAX AC. Basiaclly the motherboard now has been updated with an AC WIFI compatible mpdule. For the rest it is the same as reviewed here.  Chucked full with features and overclock potential, it has the latest Killer E2200 chip but now also AC WIFI (802.11a/b/g/n/ac). 

Its definitely a thing to mention, passing 1TB on this format, cool stuff. Anyway the world’s first 1-Terabyte solid state drive in the compact mSATA form factor is now available for pre-order. B&H is currently listing the mSATA SSD, for $615. The drive will greatly expand data storage potential of notebooks equipped with the mSATA interface. Currently mSATA SSD drives have up to 500GB capacity, so Samsung’s new product is a real breakthrough in this field.

AMD today announced that it has delivered significant optimizations in the graphics processing pipeline to increase performance for powerful creative features and workflows in the newest version of Adobe Photoshop CC. Use of both OpenCL and OpenGL standards enables Adobe Photoshop CC to directly tap the compute and graphics processing capabilities of AMD FirePro Professional Graphics. 

SilverStone outs their Precision PS10mid-tower ATX chassis that comes with noise-absorbing and vibration-dampening panels to reduce noise output. The case measures 219.9mm x 480mm x 521.5mm (W x H x D) and weighs a mere 6.2 kg. It features four 5.25" bays, five 2.5/3.5" storage bays, support for GPUs as long as 292mm and CPU coolers as tall as 169mm. 

Star Swarm is a real-time demo of Oxide Games' Nitrous engine, which pits two AI-controlled fleets against each other in a furious space battle. Originally conceived as an internal stress test, Oxide decided to release Star Swarm so that the public can share our vision of what we think the future of gaming can be. DICE just released some numbers as well, these are their own internal tests showing performance differences in-between DirectX 11.1 and Mantle. 

At this very moment some websites are reporting that the MSI GTX 780 Ti Lightning graphics cards will not go retail. There's quite a bit of confusion right now whether or not this is true. I can confirm that it is true, at least on the short term MSI will not release this product into the etail/retail market. Now that's a bit weird as you already have been able to see some preliminary teaser reviews and overclockers with this product posting photo's including packaging and what not. Here's the thing.

AMD has been working on a new Ruby tech demo for a ling time now, actually we reported about this last year already as most media already has seen it during a recent press-briefing. There have also been some YouTube movies available. Ruby has been active underground since mid-2013 at least, but 30FPS ShakyCam YouTube videos don’t really do it justice, we have some actual screenshots now.

Guys as most of you know AMD will release a new driver real soon, this one coming with Mantle support. I just heard that the driver is delayed a bit more so it likely won't be today. However we are allowed to share some stuff with you guys. The upcoming 14.1 Beta driver will receive many improvements. Two important ones though, read more after the break.

An Asian slide appeared online, supposedly showing a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 that is powered by a Maxwell GPU.  The card features 768 Cores and 1020 MHz Core Clock. The GeForce GTX 750 has been listed by a Chinese retailer called TMall in a DIY /OEM kit. The online spot shows pictures, specifications and some features of the card.

ASUS has released the S1 Mobile LED Projector, a portable rechargeable projector with a sleek aluminium chassis. It' now available in retail stores for $319. The device uses a 0.3" DLP, it has a 854 x 480 pixel resolution and a maximum light output of 200 lumen.

Posted below is the information that has been stated so far and none of it seems all that far-fetched; the biggest item may be the Xbox One for $399 without an optical drive. Of course, a drive-less Xbox One rumor has popped up before but nothing sounds concrete at this time; most of the other information is related to games that will be released during 2014.

AMD today added a major new milestone to its list of seminal developments in server technology.
