AMD Mantle Update For Battlefield 4 Delayed ?

Though not offifically confirmed, word is out that AMD Mantle Update For Battlefield 4 was delayed. It seems that DICE still has not worked out technical issues, gameplay and stability. Initially everybody expected the Mantle update in November, then it became December and then it was delayed to January.

We review the MSI Radeon R9-290X Gaming OC. The cards equipped with that Hawaii GPU now is proper cooled thanks to the TwinFrozr cooler and steadily running and purring at just over 70 Degrees C, that's under full gaming load. The 2816 Stream processor based Hawaii chip will get paired with 4 GB GDDR5 memory running along a 512-bit memory interface. The card itself is fully customized including component selection, custom PCB, custom cooling, well .. custom everything ! Powered through 8-Pin + 6-Pin power configuration it obviously runs at factory overclocked specifications as well. Asus released its first Intel-certified Thunderbolt 2 PCI-Express add-in card, the single-port ThunderboltEX II, designed to be used with select 8-series motherboards. It includes the single-port ThunderboltEX II, and the two-port ThunderboltEX II DUAL. The first board to be certified is the Asus Z87-Pro, which is what the card was shown plugged into at the show.

Google explains reasons behind 30-minute service outage

Following one of the longer cross-service outages for Google in recent memory, the search and software giant sent out an apology and explanation for today's occurrences. According to the Official Google Blog, an internal system that sends out configuration information for systems beyond it encountered a software bug that sent out incorrect commands to several areas.

Windows 8.1 Update 1 reportedly set for March 11 release

ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley says one of her most "accurate and trusted sources" told her Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be released March 11; she further states that Windows Phone 8.1 will be released at about the same time as well. Foley says there's no indication if Microsoft will release future upgrades similar to Update 1 prior to the next version of Windows, which has the codename "Threshold."
