Microsoft Corp. today announced revenue of $24.52 billion for the quarter ended December 31, 2013. Gross margin, operating income, net income, and diluted earnings per share for the quarter were $16.24 billion, $7.97 billion, $6.56 billion, and $0.78 per share, respectively.

Again more leaks on the MSI GTX 780 Ti Lightning as photo's, and OC and tests have been puiblished by Le Comptoir du Hardware, a French website. The card has been photographed and tested quite extensively which you can read in their post. The Lightning Ti comes with a GK110-425-B1 GPU (2880 Cuda cores) and runs at 993 MHz core and 1058 MHz boost while the memory comes at a clock speed of 7000 MHz.

A post on NeoGAF shows documents suggesting EA ran its own program to pay for YouTube videos promoting their games, similar to allegations that Microsoft was paying for positive Xbox One videos on YouTube. The instructions allegedly from EA on this seem self-conscious about the implications, promising a $10.00 CPM (per thousand views), but warning not to post any details about the incentive online).

Most of us might have never ever heard of the term robot tourism, but it's soon going to be a major attraction in Korea. South Korea is all set to build a massive billion dollar 'Robot Land' that will be solely dedicated to working on and treasuring robotics. Named the Masan Robot Land Project, the plans initially went adrift and was lost it permission and environmental clearances. But the project was finally officially launched on December 7, 2013. It might sound like a theme park dedicated to robots but it's more of a technology fair made to evoke interest in robotics and fuel the growth in the industry.

SplashData has distributed an annual list of the 25 most common passwords found on the Internet. For the first time since SplashData began compiling its annual list, "password" has lost its title as the most common and therefore Worst Password, and two-time runner-up "123456" took the dubious honor. "Password" fell to #2. According to SplashData, this year's list was influenced by the large number of passwords from Adobe users posted online by security consulting firm Stricture Consulting Group following Adobe's well publicized security breach.

Backbase, a provider from a cloud-service, posted some research on reliability of HDDs from the consumer market. It seems that HDDs from Hitachi are the most reliable, while Seagate has the worst realiability. Given their experience with over 25,000 drives the results should be labeled as reliable as well.

AMD announced revenue for the fourth quarter of 2013 of $1.59 billion, operating income of $135 million and net income of $89 million, or $0.12 per share. The company reported non-GAAP operating income of $91 million and non-GAAP net income of $45 million, or $0.06 per share.
