If its free why not right? The vaccine was free, that got pushed hard also. when that happens you know that something isn't right. I'm sure there is something baked into Win 11 so they can see everything and next there will be ads popping up while on your desktop. Also, if people aren't moving to the next iteration of windows, it makes it tougher for them to keep making new operating systems. Soon it will be a subscription service.

Will the pop ups happen on Win 10 Pro as well?

My pc mobo does not have that security hardware thing, so i have not seen any ads for this upgrade.

Havn't had a single upgrade prompt for years.
I have TPM disabled in the BIOS.

I updated my brothers BIOS when working on his system once, after a while Windows forced an upgrade to 11 on him since TPM support was enabled, so if you don't want to go, disable TPM like others said.

Remember the golden rule when it comes to Windows OS
Win 98-OK
Win Me-Shit
Windows XP-OK
Windows Vista-Shit
Windows 7-OK
Windows 8-Shit
Windows 10-OK
Windows 11-****

I'm not 100% sure about this but i think the prompt only shows to users with admin privilege on windows. Today i enabled a local user login with admin so that the software installs for that account rather than the administrator account (some software install separately for each user rather than os wide), when i logged into it, it promted with that garbage when it didn't before. So a simple trick may be to remove admin rights, you can install software by keying in your admin pw when prompted. (of course in this case itll be installed OS wide)

I would gladly upgrade my laptop to Windows 11, but it hasn't got the security chip required. Microsoft is either forcing Windows 11, or trying to get us to upgrade our hardware....kiss this!

Eu to the rescue about win 11 you can now uninstall the bing search in windows edge Cortana and such crap but only if your computer is set up like it is in Europe ..... Buuuut even if you did not install with that in mind few registry edits will do the trick!

Suffice to mention that the hardware-related specs that ''prevent'' upgrading from 10 to 11 are completely artificial. I've seen a dozen different (about 10 years old) PC's that run win 11 PERFECTLY, yet were ''deemed'' by the win updater as ''not compliant'' and had to be upgraded in an ''oblique'' way. In the meantime, Evil Bill and his NSA sponsor are pushing up the level of control over the users and, simultaneously, lowering the abilities of the users to control their computers and set them the way THEY - the users/owners - want them to function.

Lets not forget the reason behind this is ultimately for their own selfish profits by control, manipulation and data collection.

Does this also happen even with incompatible hardware?

So, people will complain, bicker and will continue to use Windows like nothing happened?
One thing is the use of said OS for work, whereas in one's private life and computing, apart from some particular cases, Windows could be easily replaced.
