I was replying to this: @JillScharr I asked EA to confirm. They say its an "artificially-generated list that has nothing to do with Origin". -- That's what I mean, how can it be artificially generated if your email was there

Yeah. maybe so. I edited my post with what that lady tweeted saying that it could be recycled emails from a previous Origin breach.

i had my paypal account shut down temporarily a week or so back after someone was caught inside my account tampering with things, admitedly it had same pass as ebay so i was partly to blame. cheers for heads up.

Was your password listed on the recent list, your current password before this breach ? And did you change your password the last time it was breached? I can't remember the last breach and my email was not on the list this time

I found the pastebin link. Thankfully my email isn't in there, but my wife's email is.
Wife with the easier password I guess? Anyways downloading now and seeing if mine is up there. Nope. Did they really find an exploit? All the passwords in the list seem pretty retarded and easy anyways.

Maybe the hacker wannabe has indeed just merged the old compromised list with a generated one Hope so

Is anyone really surprised? Company creates system that has a "shop" as a front when it is in essence a DRM backend, said DRM goes on to get hacked. Legit user gets f*ed by the DRM during it's non functional "functional" period (see SimCity, Dead Space bright examples of EAs triumph) and then gets his information stolen after all that. If anything we deserve to have our info stolen for accepting this new "standard". Fingers crossed, maybe steam is next. I'll try not to smile when that happens again. :P

Well, I've never bought anything through Origin. So, I have no card information on my account... and as such, I see no reason to jump to extremes and start trying to change things. If it starts acting odd, then I'll go through the crap of changing stuff. Until then... meh.

I believe i got only one Game on Origin which is Bad Company 2, and they can have it lol.
