What's pissing me off is suddenly Origin requires answering my security question just to change my password. I forgot that ages ago. Now I have to email these idiots to reset my account..

I never trust when the breacher, or breachee claim only emails.. Hence why I always change my password when this dumb stuff happens.

I have two step verification on my Gmail, backed up by another email address with another verification. Same with Origin.

Yeah, its kind of annoying. But better to read it like this then that they just use it and hijack your account.

download the .txt file with all the email addresses listed. The link is on the bottom of the page. I did a search and found mine plus a few of my friends

Finally remembered my security question.. Also finally finished the download of the 37MB list.. Name not on list anyway.. Oh well.. Better safe than sorry.

I'm not overly worried. I use KeePass so I have 90 different passwords for 90 different sites. I just always air on the side of caution.

Actually I think it's disgraceful that UGLegion is making all these emails and passwords available for download. I find it reprehensible. They should have just notified Origin that the hack was possible and left it at that. Nobody's account was open for attack until they published their results. They should be held accountable for any problems. EA says that the list is an "artificially-generated list that has nothing to do with Origin". Maybe the whole thing is fake?

Yea and they try to make themselves sound so mighty -- We've tried to be nice, but they decided to mock our sense of security, and ignore the fact that their database could of been leaked with a simple HEADER Injection flaw. -- Some pathetic little geek boy living in his mommas basement with a c0ck the size of a peanut -- Do they not realise that if it wasn't for people like them, it wouldn't matter if it could be exploited by a simple hack "Look at us, look how cool we are showing you how to protect yourselves......... from no-one other than d1ckheads like us"

These groups always do this. It's their trophy and "proof" to their claim. Been like this since the day before forever. Also.. I put "allegedly" in the topic until EA confirm it. Don't need EA's panties getting in a bunch over a topic title.
