For me the price jump is more of a concern. But ya, jumping the price and the performance being a bit short of that jump isn't ideal. I've said it and I say it again: Nvidia needs to stop doing monolithic GPUs. AMD caught Intel with their pants down, can they catch Nvidia using the same technology?
If they have the appropriate funds to begin with it, they will do it. AMD made a huge gamble followed by an overwhelming winning streak with zen architecture. We are unable to know if they are willing to do it with ATI in the foreseeable future though.

They are doing it, but it is not entirely from scratch as with Zen. Navi seems to hold some "Block Structure" similarities with GCN for compatibility purposes. So it may start better than GCN and there may be smaller performance gains over time. In January we'll know if we were fooled or not 😀

I can't wait to buy something fresh and unique finally. Let's see 2019 with anxiety and eagerness. Vega was so fury and rx was so r9 that I couldn't convince myself to give money for these. 🙂

After the 2080 review , this is not a surprise , the 1060 6gb is literally half a 1080 ....and it seems that 2060 is half the 2080 and the perfomance seems right where was expected.

what is this card going to do that a 1070 cant? maybe after whats left of the glut we will get a 2060. aib's gotta be bitching by now, they have a somewhat decent 500usd offering but nothing new below that. and to mention that they are having to get more market share no matter how lob sided it is since they tanked hard in stocks. the screwing nv has been giving this last few years they had it coming to them. get them off that high horse they have been riding put out a sub 300usd card that at least evens a 1080. if nobody is loving them much anymore they will get the point

Have to say I still stand by my statement I made a while back that the 2080ti is the only 20 series card that makes sense (unless you're super into ray tracing).

They used to market the 1060 as a $200 980 not that long ago. What a shame.
