~€600 for a motherboard, cooler and a pretty potent cpu. Hilbert reviewed the 7945HX in a laptop and it seemed to have performance comparable to a desktop 7600X/7700 but with double the cores. It doesn't seem like an outrageous price to me, actually it's kinda tempting.

Yeah the price for the specs as @Yogi said is pretty good ! And chances are this outperforms laptop variants if the power limits are a bit more relaxed due to having more space to breath. Except if they botched it completely :P

It is actually quite a nice setup, and can be put in a SFF PC (Small Form Factor PC), which is really nice if you don't want a humongous tower occupying unnecessary space.
