Maybe you're mixing this up with Command&Conquer: Rivals, which is indeed a newly announced mobile cash-in POS. This should be a remaster, I hope (albeit this is EA we're talking about, so cautiousness is recommended).

Tbh considering how long ago EA bought westwood studies and what Petroglyph have done since then, not sure they can recreate the magic but one can only hope. They were a hilarious and fantastic game series with some epic multiplayer, and even generals was a great game imo for multiplayer though single player was more limited than the classics. Would love another go playing properly, but I hope they do right by it. Outside of the previously mentioned memories, had a lot of fun with a tanya unit murdering my way through a base and destroying structures. Fond memories.

Hmm i played few skirmises in it and seemed prety good to me , mind you back on 98-99 i burned thousands of hours on red alert redalation (playstation 1) never played the first ra on pc , although back then i had a mouse with my ps1! So what did they raped? I am genuine curious.

So basically just quickly done new 2D art... and still crappy "explosions" Ugh. Cashgrab, nothing else. Why invest in a new 3D engine and make a proper game when you can just upscale with Waifu2X and fix some little things left and right?

I like what they are doing in that video. Just enhancing the graphics. I think the game-play still holds up so if they aren't changing much at all there, good. Maybe EA won't bone this up.

I just hope they atleast modernize it a little and add a Build Queue and Attack Move.
