There appears to be at least one person hiding, or forgotten in a remote, dark and silent corner of the company with common sense. I'm not sure if I should bother trying to process what that means or if it means anything coming from EA. I'll just forget about this and one day that product will come out and I'll be reminded of its existence. Then I'll find out if it's too good to be true or, if after all, I had forgotten about it for a good reason to start with.

This is the most exciting thing coming from EA for me in a while these are the games that started me into pc gaming.

I will... carefully watch this develop. I'm not touching Rivals, though...

No Microtransactions? but how will they make all the money?
Seriously though this is pretty nice, they really should take more of their older games and remaster them so they all run properly on modern computers, I mean they have the subscription service and hardly any good games on Origin, they need to have games to justify a freaking subscription.service.

I hope its not just another lazy ass remaster to cash in.
I also wish Dune would be remastered besides c&c games ๐

watching with interest I lost hours and hours to C&C

Its sad that microtransactions not being in a game from EA is news.

The first C&C was such an excellent game back in the day. The flow and atmosphere of the game was somehow better than Dune's, making you want to continue playing more strongly.

It feels too good to be true. EA killed C&C in the past, so I dont want to get my hopes up. I will check it out when the time comes.

I've seen a few of Petroglyph's titles offered on Steam, but haven't yet played any of them. It's great to have some of the C&C originator's collaborating on a remaster effort, but I just hope this studio already has some good work under it's belt.
I smiled when the Harvester AI was mentioned in the article. The signature C&C AI feature is when you direct a group of infantry to move to another location, being very mindful of choosing a path to keep them well away from any Tiberium. Nevertheless, without fail. at least a few idiots in the mob will somehow find a way, no matter how improbable, to wander through the crystals.
I wonder if any or all of the original master tapes of the FMV content in C&C/Red Alert still exists? You know, before the resolution was cranked way, way down to 320 X 200 or 640 X 400? (I first played these two titles on my father's DOS relic from 500 years ago.) It would be great to see that video remastered and upscaled.
"My name is Seth... Just, Seth. And, I have a task for you." (I think that's how it went.)

EDIT:
nevermind

No microtransactions? Original team? Sounds too good to be true. I hope they're not toying with the fanbase's emotions again as with C&C Generals and any other crap they introduced on mobile / multiplayer basis. Just give us the old games, old campaigns in new clothes, all's fine.
Oh yes, I'd die for a proper Dune2 remake ๐

With what happened to Generals 2 lets just say I wonโt be getting my hopes up. Itโs still EA weโre talking about...

Never played this game, before my time.
Are they doing a remaster or overhaul??

Am I the only one who built sandbags from his base to the enemy one and blocked the entrance to hinder the enemy harvesters from collecting tiberium? ๐

OK. I'm excited now. EA will probably let me down...
I played the originals when they released. They are still fun today. They really don't need much (any?) overhaul on gameplay, just spruce up the graphics.

Not what I've heard. I heard they are recreating it on mobile. Blizzard all over again
