Whats so special about DLSS3? The FG part performs faster using FSR3 FG and uses less vram. Only part of DLSS thats better is the upscaler.

There wasn't any quality improvement for the upsampling part with DLSS 3 vs. 2 anyway...

There is a quality improvement with nearly every single dll release...

There is zero evidence for that, outside of fanboy dreams.

Not true. Some older ones ware better than a newer ones when i last tested it with the 3070. In some games i could not even update the dll file had to use older one.

There's tons A/B testing between DLL types - some improve it, some don't - overall it's been a net gain since release - especially in regards to ghosting. That's not to mention that 2.5.1 literally added an entirely different model called Preset C for Ultra Performance DLSS which massively improved image quality. Stop lying it's embarrassing.

So in your entire time testing, none of the DLL's increased the quality at all? That never happened? Not a single time you switched the quality didn't improve?

It has nothing directly to do with "newer versions". It's just different DLSS presets harcoded into different DLL variants (idiotic way of Nvidia software development...). That changed with 3 and now DLSS ships some list. But you can override it and still everything but preset C is pretty much garbage. But idi*ts like to fool themselves with placebo. I won't exclude myself from that, but once you realize how sh*tty Nvidia DLSS preset and release management is handled... Some people won't learn and rather believe in fairy tales...

At what preset, quality? Dont tell me its indistinguishable at performance level and thats what you need to use if your have lower tier card and wanting to use all the features even on a card like 4070ti.
DLSS Quality, Ultra RT, RR... > 67 avg fps. The 4070 Ti S @ 1440p is at 74 avg fps.

I hope someday they'll start including some generative AI benchmarks. For example, Stable Diffusion and some local LLMs would be nice!

It did but then it went back to more ghosting on so on. One version i dont remember which one exactly even disabled sharpening.

Is that with FG? @AuerX bragged about how his 4080 was doing 74fps PT goodness at 1440p ultrawide with FG but thats a 40fps base framerate so it feels smoother but latency is the same which is not good. I used FSR3 FG/ AFMF 60fps base is the minimum i would go for.

I'll take DLSS quality over AMD's FSR any day, DLSS is so much sharper and clear looking. As for the RX 4070 Ti Super, its kinda hard to get excited about. I'm not gonna upgrade until I see what the 5000 series offers in the $300-$400 range because I don't plan on using 4K because everything now runs great at 1440p. And I honestly don't care about ray-tracing, the majority of future games will be using Unreal Engine 5 with the lumen technology.

ppl have different preferences and priorities. I prefer IQ over 60 FPS minimum in non-fast paced games. AVG fps is more important than minimums, because a minimum can consist of one errant frame that is totally unnoticeable in gameplay. Thats why G3D, TPU and other reputable sites use AVG FPS in their benchmarking. HUB notes the minimums, but as stated if its one errant frame, but have smooth gameplay with good avg fps, then their readers can easily be misled into thinking its not smooth gameplay. If I was presented with the choice of 4070 Ti S over the 7900xt, and just by looking at the awesome RT titles out there (even Cyberpunk by itself), would take the Ti S. Even in raster its not that far from the XT, but with RT it would seal the deal for me.

wait that is actual allowed around here? most take offense to people preferences and opinions different from there own around here. I prefer native res over DLSS and FSR just like perfer actual framerates vs frame generation except for case where DLSS and possible FSR look better then native. less gpu can no longer coup ( last resort function) most game these day need those to just to run good "enough" which not good sign imo using either at 1080p is just huge eye sore to me from all case i seen. with my own eyes the min res need to 1440p before use either not to be eye sore to me. also prefer 16gb vs 12gb cause i do thing other then gaming that will eat right threw 12gb special when i use cupscale to AI upscale pictures and videos, which currently spill out in the pagefile using good chunk for 8gb pagefile i set

Pretty much matches the top of the line last gen 3090ti in performance, and is significantly cheaper than what the 3090ti was, and yet it's still not good enough. Funny.

I’ll chime in as someone that’s just picked up a 4080 and was openly skeptical about FG; now that I’ve tested it myself in both AW2 and CP2077 I have to admit it’s pretty great. Both games maxed out with PT and DLSSQ hovers mostly above 70 FPS and usually sits closer to 80, gameplay feels heaps smoother than when my 3080 with settings turned down was hovering in the low 50’s. I’m sure if you try to do a side by side deep dive analysis you’ll find graphical anomalies using FG but frankly when just playing and immersed in game I’m not really noticing graphical degradations bar minor oddities very occasionally now and then. Not feeling any latency issues either granted I also don’t play e-sports titles. AW2 and CP2077 really does look incredible with PT and HDR enabled at the same time and I was genuinely surprised I’m able to run it the way I am now even if it’s with fake frames. But that’s just my personal experience, YMMV of course.

PT is the future much like RT in General. but we generations away before it relay viable for masses do to cost never performance hit using DLSS.FSR FG to fix performance it nothing more then bandaid imo. That being Said CP 2077 and AW2 with PT look Amazing

Band-aid fix, sure I get that because I too am someone that prefers real rendered frames over fake ones, but for now I can happily say my experience has only been enhanced with the technology and having first hand experience I’ll take the fake frames plus PT over real frames and without.
