Good. Maybe if some major companies get products banned, such as Apple, we'll be forced to do something about our patent system. I think it would be a travesty to take things this far and just have the companies settle things for a lot of money, I'd prefer to see an injunction and congress getting involved and fixing some of this garbage.
The best thing that could happen is Apple get one of their products banned. They will go complaining about the patent system and get the law changed. Then Samsung can appeal this ridiculous judgement and everyone's happy.

only 8% of Samsung's revenue comes from crapple. you have to remember that about a month ago, crapple said they aren't about money. their main goal is to release great products. not a single person on this planet can hate crapple more than me.
8% of a couple million in sales of units with the hardware in isn't chump change either tho is it?

I didn't confirm the 8% figure, but if its correct and 8% of Samsung Electronics' revenue is Apple related, it amounts to roughly 12 billion dollars.

Either way random numbers aside it makes them some serious money regardless. So it would be foolish for them to pull out of any deal they have with Apple no matter how much they wanna spite them.

More i live in this world, more i understand that democracy in US is just one LOUSY word without its meaning, ...Apple.... what apple, nice hardware, overpriced products, software created like: buy this, buy that, no you can't do that without paying...OMG you totally can't do that...here is your check...compatibility - is there any? Maybe we should get patent on Christmas Carol...Motto: "Shiny"; don't take it directly, it's just my thoughts about Apple. I don't like samsung either, had some bad history with: D6500 TV with "Full HD 3D" and victim of some false advertisements. But which is worse, no doubt most of us here will say aPplE. And yeah...we all are true victims of this fight going on between sides, some of us more, some - less.

Nintendo tried to block game rentals, sued the makers of game genie, and sued Tengen over Tetris. Annnnd they had a patent on a "switch shaped like a cross" Otherwise known as a d-pad. That's why the xbox's is circle, and the PS3's are arrows. Not too far off from "slate with rounded corners"
