I mean they pretty much have to smile and take it. They still provide Apple with hardware if I'm not mistaken so they can't just give them the finger. They still make a good deal of money providing them with tech. IF they wanted to be dicks about it they could pull that tech and leave Apple hanging(Probably at a good loss of revenue doing it tho)

I can't see that happening with all the stories of the jurors being tainted by one rogue juror who made out like he knew everything and actually knew nothing.....
There is no way the jurors could have understood all the technical jargon so how do you even begin to award damages based on that?

Apple must be crazy demanding all phone manufacturers to exclude the possibility of making rectangular phones, or square buttons. First of all - it's the stupid US law that permitted them to create patents for rectangular devices. Apple - You didn't create the geometrical forms. And your iOS interface is stolen from Sony. And Samsung has patents for the 4G technology ... beware Apple !

Since they are suing Samsung they are basically getting FREE hardware with money taken from Samsung...

You can imagine the apple yuppy Californian judges and jury involved in this kind of case- the outcome of a case there seems so pre determined. It's weird to have watched Apple become the new Microsoft in terms of the "evil monopoly".

Why don't Apple **** off and die? Nothing they've done has been innovative, it's all existed before and usually with better functionality. I mean what's up with removing buttons from phones? I like my buttons but now you cannot get a good smart phone with buttons. Touch screen typing sucks, it'll always suck because you get no physical feedback. I also don't like my hands covering half the frigging screen and games control like crap with touch screen. I also hate how it's hard to find a phone with a proper camera button now....
They keep making these ****ty over priced laptops and desktops with poor hardware that you can get better elsewhere for a much much cheaper price. The only difference is Apple like to make a big deal over how nice they are to look at. One whocares? This isn't art, this is about functionality and two I find Apple products to be the most generic and boring looking things ever... it's like living in a white home.
The sooner Apple die the better, they keep dragging everything else down because everyones copying them.

Maybe. It depends on how that contract was written up. I'm pretty sure Apple is set on a fixed price. Therefore, Samsung couldn't raise it even if they wanted to. Either way, all this patient suing will end up doing is hurting the consumer in the long run.

only 8% of Samsung's revenue comes from crapple. you have to remember that about a month ago, crapple said they aren't about money. their main goal is to release great products. not a single person on this planet can hate crapple more than me.

They could get out of the contract if they really wanted to. And if only 8% of their business went to Apple I would do it. Make Apple go find their parts somewhere else.
