With a card like that I'd never need to worry about maintaining 60 fps in Arma 3. Edit: Until, of course, Arma 3 starts to misbehave on its own.

my rtx fluke-duke 2080 is on repair, when service is done il try to swap it for Vega VII as i dont want to wait another month or two before it dies again (artifacts)... i know it will be power hungry and with no rtx(no real benefit from it afterall) but still fluke just doesent seem to be a card that will work in long term usage.....i am totally disappointed in this rtx series.

I'm wondering if i should swap my 1080 for this.. I mainly do editing on the gpu though, not sure if i'll see any benefit.

Unless you know you'll use the extra VRAM, I'd say the upgrade isn't worth it. I wouldn't be surprised if this is faster than a 1080 but not enough to warrant the price tag.

For $700 I would have liked it to come with that box and a stand:l

HWgeek:

Maybe those empty VRM area gonna be the AIB partners option to Upgrade the card for better OCing?
The VRM design is really powerful already. Could be for AIB usage, however, remember. The Radeon VII is released with 60 compute units and this 3840 shader/stream processors. AMD could always release a 64 CU version with the full 4096 stream processors. This PCB would give them leeway/flexibility.

maybe its the Radeon Instinct M150 pcb that they are using? not sure, found die pictures but none for the board

AMD could release 64cu version before Navi, exiting times.

I wonder how its undervolted performance will be. If like V64 where power draw can be reduced considerably without losing performance.

I like the looks of it , thanks for sharing it HH , awaiting the full review ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm a big fan of white/red/black (and the shades in between) and minimalist look. So from these aesthetic points of view at least, the reference cooler does look pretty damn good.

Also waiting for the review ๐Ÿ™‚ Can't stop wandering why PCB is so long While a 3-fans solution may be needed for the ~300W dissipation, tt seems AMD could have optimize it a bit... ๐Ÿ™„
