Day 3 Continued

After a lengthy, but pleasant demonstration, a little over an hour has passed, and there is only but a few more hours left of CeBit.  I decided to roam the rest of the hall to check out what else I might have missed.

I stopped by Palm Sources booth, and they had a bunch of PDAs and Cell phones with PDA capabilities, on hand.  Nothing new really, as most has been out for quite some time.  They shared a booth with Handspring, and they had their latest Treo (which one a CeBit Best of Show award).  It has better speakers for clearer sounds, as well as a separate speaker for the phone.  MP3 player, digital camera, and a memory slot are also built in.  In short, a good solution for those who want an all in one product, and who want despise carrying multiple gadgets.  Sprint will be the first US service provider to feature the Treo.

Walking around some more, I came across Future Dial (http://www.futuredial.com/). They had a line of accessories that enable you to hook up your existing cell phone and sync it with your pc.  Its compatible with outlook, and will be with ACT! and palm desktop soon.  Other accessories also include a photo, and ringtone editor, and a cable that allows you to use your cell phone as a modem.  They are working closely with service providers so that the consumer can benefit greatly from all of these functions.  Prices are at around $30.00 and are available at major retailers.

HP was on hand, and I kept running out of time in the previous days, so I guess, now is a chance to see the new laptops they have unveiled.  They had 2 models on hand, a nice and compact one, and a pretty big one sporting a 16:9 screen.  Both actually are priced the same. (about $1700.00), the bigger one runs on a full Centrino, (1.6 Pentium M processor, Intel Chipset, and 802.11b), but the smaller one runs on the Pentium M processor, and Intel Chipset, but HP opted for an Oracle wireless solution, as enterprise clients has said that they would not want to run Intels 802.11b solution, due to security issues.  Again, they have a slew of tablet PCs as well as printers, scanners, digital cameras and retail PCs.
