Asus Delta S Wireless Headset review - Introduction

Asus ROG Delta S Wireless Headset

Asus ROG has a broad range of PC components and peripherals. That included the headsets; at the moment, there are 29 models available (so there’s plenty to choose from) on the manufacturer’s website. Also, we had an opportunity to check some of the models in the past, like the Asus Strix Fusion Wireless (in 2019) or the Asus Strix Fusion 700 – RGB (in 2018). Today we’re checking the new Delta family member (introduced in 2018) - the Delta S Wireless headset, which was announced in June ’22.

What makes this product stand out from the other ROG headsets? It is their first-ever dual-mode wireless model. It’s possible to use the following:

  • Low-latency 2.4 GHz mode (with an up to 25m range)
  • Bluetooth – for listening experiences on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.

The Delta S Wireless is built to last with relatively lightweight (310g) and durable materials, plus (leatherette) D-shaped memory foam ear pads designed for long-lasting comfort. The battery (with a capacity of 1800 mAh) life should be up to 25 hours, which sounds reasonable. In just 15 minutes of charging, you can game for up to 3 hours. What are the additional features here? The AI Beamforming (and bi-directional) microphones on the DELTA S WIRELESS should provide an excellent voice pick-up. The AI Noise Cancelling technology reduces 500 million types of background noises for clear in-game communication. That means your voice should sound more precise/accurate/natural/clear when communicating with your friends and teammates. The microphone frequency response is 100-10000 Hz; the sensitivity is -37dB. The frequency range of the headset is between 20 Hz and 20,000 Hz. The headphone’s impendence is 32 Ohms. Inside the Delta S Wireless, 50 mm Asus Essence audio drivers should deliver excellent sound, and the airtight chamber design should offer immersive sound. The Asus ROG Delta S Wireless is compatible with the Asus Armoury Crate software, which means that there is possible to control sidetone and RGB lighting synchronization (although no Aura lighting is available in this headset) with other compatible ASUS ROG devices.

One of the selling points is broad compatibility, as it’s possible to connect with the following:

  • PCs
  • Macs
  • Playstation 5
  • Nintendo Switch
  • Mobile devices

The easy-access on-ear audio volume control enables on-the-fly adjustments without distracting you from your game. This headset is priced at 199 EUR. The product carries a 2-year warranty. Well, let’s hit the next page.
