Every manufacturer is different. They have their own way of labeling specific voltages in the BIOS. So let's dive in and see what the SR-2 has to offer. Here are a few pics of the BIOS. You have the normal x58 options such as BIOS features, advanced BIOS features, advanced chipset features, PCI/PNP resource management, boot configuration features, power management features, hardware health configuration and the best one of them all - frequency/voltage control!

The same principle applies to each bank of DIMMs and each VTT voltage. The voltage of the other components is controlled in the traditional way, as after all, despite having two CPUs, there is only one IOH (the Intel 5220 chipset) and one ICH (the Intel ICH10R Southbridge).

First off, good to know is that you can set the VCORE for each processor socket separately, which is useful if one CPU needs more voltage than the other.
