Intel is preparing to augment its 14th Generation Core "Raptor Lake Refresh" desktop processor lineup with the introduction of new 65W variants. These mainstream processors are distinguished by their lack of overclocking features and include a standard cooling solution for retail customers. The official release date is set for January 8, 2024, with a specified launch time of 15:00 Pacific Time. This timing aligns with the embargo lift for media reviews of these processors. Designed for compatibility with Socket LGA1700 motherboards, these processors support both Intel 600-series and 700-series chipsets, extending to the entry-level H610 chipset. However, users should note that some motherboards might require UEFI firmware updates to ensure full compatibility.

Details regarding the model numbers and specifications of these processors have been previously disclosed and are now appearing as placeholder listings on various online retail platforms. In anticipation of the launch, Intel might allow retailers to start accepting pre-orders shortly before the January 8 release date.
