ASUS introduced the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD, a 49-inch gaming display with 5K (5,120 x 1,440 resolution) organic EL technology, on October 6, 2023. This display, initially unveiled in May of the same year, employs a quantum dot OLED panel boasting a curvature of 1,800R.

Such a feature delivers a display that achieves notable brightness levels up to 1,000 nits, a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, and a precise representation of primary colors. A key consideration with OLED technology is the potential for burn-in. Addressing this, the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD integrates a cooling solution composed of a custom heat sink, a high-grade thermal pad, and a graphene film that further aids in panel cooling.Delving into the technical specifications, the display can represent up to 1.073 billion colors, maintains color accuracy below a delta of 2, and offers viewing angles of 178° both horizontally and vertically. Additionally, it supports synchronization technologies such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible. Interface options encompass DisplayPort, HDMI, USB Type-C (with DP Alt Mode), an earphone jack, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A hub, USB 2.0 Type-A hub, and support for KVM switch functions and USB PD up to 90W.

Complementing its display capabilities, its stand is adjustable with tilts between -5 to 20°, swivels between -15 to 15°, and height variations from 0 to 100mm. The VESA mounting option is set at 100 x 100 mm. Dimension-wise, the unit measures 1,196.4 mm in width, 282.95 mm in depth, has a height range between 427.2 to 527.2 mm, and a total weight of 11.7 kg.
