ASRock has introduced support for Microsoft's Dynamic Lighting in select motherboards, enhancing RGB lighting synchronization capabilities within the Windows 11 operating system. This development enables direct control of RGB lighting for motherboards and peripherals, bypassing the need for additional software. For users to access this feature, it is mandatory to update to Windows 11 version 23H2 and install the Beta firmware from ASRock's website. This integration allows users to manage RGB LED lighting on motherboards, as well as RGB gaming peripherals like mice and keyboards, and other RGB devices, directly through Windows 11.

The supported hardware includes Intel 600 and 700 series motherboards, along with AMD AM4 and AM5 socket boards featuring B550, X570, X670, B650, and A620 chipsets. This functionality requires the Windows 11 23H2 operating system. Microsoft's Dynamic Lighting initiative aims to streamline the management of RGB components and accessories within Windows 11, reducing reliance on manufacturer-specific software for LED lighting control. This approach facilitates synchronization of RGB lighting across various manufacturers' components and accessories. While some manufacturers such as Acer, Asus, HP, HyperX, and Logitech have adopted this initiative, others continue to offer support for third-party RGB control software like OpenRGB.
