A closer look
When we take a closer look at the front panel of the Snap Server 1100 we'll notice that is has four status lights System, Ethernet Link and Net (activity), and Disk activity, with the System light flashing about once per second, once the 1100 has booted.
The rear panel holds the 10/100 Mbit/sec Ethernet port, a Power jack, hardware Reset and Power on/off buttons. It would have been nice to see the power-supply integrated into the product itself.
Since it's a server, does it make noise ? Yeah, for sure. But it's very quiet though. Once there is a lot of activity an active fan will kick in. It's nothing bad, though it's another fan in my office choir of active fans.
Let's have a look at some more pictures:
Quite an interesting design actually. Professional, simple just like the device is managed.
