HD Tune Pro is a hard disk utility and benchmarking utility for Windows. This tiny application allows you to scan your hard drives for errors or take a deeper look at several performance figures coming from the storage unit.
As you can see a quick perf scan shows sequential read speeds of roughly 400~425 MBps, with writes close to 350 MBps. This is impressive for a USB 3.0 based storage device of course.
Unfortunately all other write tests require an unformatted unpartitioned storage unit, as such we can only run the HD Tune Pro random access read test. But check out the 1 MB READ performance topping 383 MB/s. Again, impressive.
Mind you , it's not really fair to compare a USB 3.0 storage unit to SSDs tied to a SATA3 or PCIe slot.
