Photo overview

The monitor boasts a unique ROG design, featuring a robust, angular tripod-style stand crafted from dark grey coated metal. At the front, distinct Aura RGB lighting accents can be observed, though they're red rather than true RGB. These include red figures on the base and a red down-firing projector beneath it. The glossy black front face of the central protrusion on the bottom bezel also houses some of the monitor's electronics, allowing for a slimmer screen profile. The bezels feature a dual-stage design on all sides, a sleek panel border flush with the screen's surface,

Yeah, the monitor marks a step forward in the world of 4K OLED screens, thanks to its ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate. OLED technology is known for being quick and compatible with high refresh rates, and this screen is no exception. It's especially notable for its incredibly quick response time of less than 1 millisecond, reducing blur during fast movements and making everything on the screen respond faster. An impressive aspect is its 0.03ms response time, ensuring that what you do is instantly seen on the screen.

The screen also uses a technology called ELMB (Extreme Low Motion Blur), which includes adding black frames to reduce blur even further. However, using this technology means the refresh rate goes down to 120Hz, and the screen isn't as bright, so it's not always the best choice. The monitor is designed to stay cool, allowing it to keep its brightness high and maintain a strong build.

For connections ASUS did things right, it's well-equipped: it has a USB-C port that lets you charge devices and connect modern laptops with just one cable, up to 90W, and four USB ports that let you connect other devices like keyboards and mice, all managed easily with a simple joystick control. It even has optional colorful lights for those who like to customize their setup. Together with its sturdy base, the design is efficient, taking up minimal space on your desk. The stand is adjustable, with options for tilting, turning, and changing the height. If you prefer, you can remove the stand and attach the monitor to the wall or another mount using the standard VESA mount size, giving you even more options for how you set up your space.

The stand is made entirely of metal, making it sturdy and stable, and it can be adjusted in many ways - you can change the height, angle, and direction, which makes it easy to set up the monitor in a way that's comfortable for you. The monitor also looks good, with special features like a light that shines the logo onto your desk, and customizable colorful lighting.

And of course, when you fire it up, you'll get some RGB candy. A downward firing projector (included are some lenses for different projections, and at the rear of course the ASUS ROG Matrix, bound to impress. Both are configurable in the monitor settings, so you can turn them off. The combination of the two each eats away 2-5 Watts depending on the settings you apply.
