For this test we encrypt some precious data with the help of the CPU. We use a combo of encryption algorithms yet, AES dominates here. This however was the one test where Core i7 did not show leading performance. No clue why though, but heck .. you can't win them all Intel ;)
CPU data compression
A data compression test much like ZIPing something up, measured in MB/sec. Here also the picture is not any different. In combo with hyper-Threading enabled the Core i7 destroys anything in it's path. They might as well named the Core i7 the Core 'I HULK' processors.
