Regarding the overall capabilities of this case, you can use a 170 mm CPU cooler (it would be 145 mm with a side fan bracket in the mesh version), a graphics card up to 355 mm (with front fan mounted, and 300 mm with 360 mm front mounted radiator), and it’s possible to install water cooling here as well.

The Fractal Design North supports 360 mm radiators at the front, 240 mm at the top (max 35 mm RAM height), and 120 mm at the back.

The sidebar can be removed using the thumbscrew.

You can install fans in the following setups:

  • Front: 120 mm x3 /140mm x2 (two Aspect 140 mm PWM are pre-installed)
  • Top: 120 mm x2/140mm x2 (non are pre-installed)
  • Rear: 120mmx1 (and it is pre-installed) + 80 mm (on the expansion slots)

In the mesh version, it would be possible to mount the following:

  • 120mm/140mm x 2

The motherboard layout is traditional, and there’s a place for the PSU at the bottom of the chassis.

The PSU shroud has some cutouts, and the Fractal name is on the left side. OK, let’s head to the further inspection of the interior, then.
