Product Showcase
Here we stumble into some buttons - here you can reset and power on/off straight jacked in at the PCB.
The grey connector here in the right/middle is the new form factor USB 3.0 internal header. Here you can connect extra brackets or other USB 3.0 connector solutions. Connect say a USB 3.0 bracket and you gain another two USB 3.0 ports.
If we include all the connectors then we can bullet it up like this:
-
1 x 24-pin ATX Power Supply connector
-
1 x USB 3.0 header supports additional 2 USB 3.0 Ports
-
1 x 8-pin ATX 12V Power Connector
-
1 x 4-pin CPU_FAN connector
-
1 x 3-pin SYS_FAN connector
-
1 x 3-pin PWR_FAN connector
-
1 x Front panel audio header
-
1 x Front panel switch/LED header
-
1 x Buzzer
-
1 x S/PDIF out header
-
1 x 7S-LED Display
-
6 x Serial ATA 6Gb/s connectors
-
1 x Clear CMOS header
-
1 x PWR button/1 x RST button
-
1 x IDE connector
On the lower side we see a bunch of connectors for addition USB ports etc., also audio headers. Audio is handled by Realtek's 892 codec allowing 8 channels of audio, pretty much the standard these days on motherboards. We would like to see some more development done on the audio side of motherboards and a move away from Realtek.
Slot connectivity wise you'll spot six PCI Express x16 slots and one PCI slot.
-
3 x PCI Express Gen 2.0 x16 slots
-
1 x PCI slot
-
2 x PCI Express x1 slots
So yeah, the board has many features and hosts other unusual features, ECS even has a UEFI (GUI BIOS), for the freaks.
